Practised in Maidstone, where he was at one time Surgeon to the Police. He was a Fellow of the Obstetrical Society of London, practised at 17 Brewer Street, and after his retirement lived at 155A Upper Fant Road, Maidstone. He died on October 30th 1892.

Born in June, 1819, at Heckington, Lincolnshire, and was apprenticed for the sum of £294 for five years in 1834 to Wilson Wade, of the Westminster Dispensary, Gerrard Street, Soho. His indenture stated that he was apprenticed for the purpose of being instructed in the arts, business, or professions
