Son of John Rowe, surgeon at Wimborne; studied at Guy's Hospital, and practised with his father in his native place, Wimborne Minster, Dorsetshire, until the latter's death on August 20th, 1859, then alone until his own death on January 9th, 1886.

Studied at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals, and practised at Tunbridge Wells, where he was well known. He died there, at 1 Calverley Parade, on February 17th, 1880.
