Details:
Donald Frederick Soul was a dental surgeon in London. He was born on 1 September 1919 in Ilford, Essex, the son of Charles Frederick Soul, a grocer, and Kathleen Ethel Soul née Prue. Soul studied dentistry at University College London and qualified with his LDS in 1941. From 1942 he served as a surgeon lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. He became a fellow of the faculty of dental surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1949. In the 1950s he was a research assistant at the London Hospital studying root canal therapy. In October 1951 he married Helen Leggett. They had three children. Soul died in April 2002 in Waltham Forest, London.
