Aldric Michael Chong Ping was a general surgeon in Ontario, Canada. He was born on 25 September 1939, the son of Michael and Joan Chong Ping, and studied medicine at University College, Dublin, Ireland, qualifying in 1963.
He gained his FRCS in 1970. He practised general surgery in Ontario, and later lived in La Romaine, Trinidad.
He married Jean Persad in London in 1965. They had a son, Michael Paul. Chong Ping died on 28 December 2008 in Bangalore, India. He was 68.
