Studied at St Bartholomew's Hospital, and began to practise at Barton Street, Gloucester, where he was Surgeon to the Infirmary and Magdalen Asylum. Next he was Resident Medical Superintendent at Barnwood House Hospital for the Insane. Later he practised for some time at Ilfracombe. He retired to 3

Practised at Trinity House Lane, Hull, and was Surgeon to the Hull General Infirmary and to the Lying-in Charity. He was also Lecturer on Anatomy at the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire Medical School. Late in life he was living at Hessle, Yorkshire, where he died in or before 1860.
