Born at Seringapatam, the son of Major G Hayward Budd, of the 43rd Regiment of the Madras Native Infantry. Practised at 51 Strand, WC, and died there on February 6th, 1866. He was a member of the Royal Institution and of the Medical Society of London.

Studied at Guy's Hospital, and practised at Burnsfield, Durham, where he died on March 4th, 1886.

Was a Surgeon in the Royal Navy and retired with the rank of Inspector-General of Hospitals and Fleets. His death occurred in 1898.
