Details:
Born at Simla, India on 12 September 1916 the younger son of James Freer Richardson MRCS 1911, a medical missionary, and Ethel Stafford his wife, he was educated at Weymouth College and St Thomas's Hospital, where he distinguished himself as a Rugby football player and held house appointments after qualifying in 1941. He was then commissioned in the RAMC and served as medical officer to a Royal Marine commando in the Far East. After the war he served as senior resident medical officer at Queen Charlotte's Hospital, and then settled in general practice at Guildford. He took the Fellowship at the end of 1950. He fell ill in 1953 and died in St Thomas's Hospital country extension at Hydestile, Godalming on 14 December 1953 aged 37, survived by his mother. He was unmarried.
