Son of John Rowe, surgeon at Wimborne; studied at Guy's Hospital, and practised with his father in his native place, Wimborne Minster, Dorsetshire, until the latter's death on August 20th, 1859, then alone until his own death on January 9th, 1886.

Was Surgeon to the Bristol General Hospital until his death at 24 Park Street, Bristol, on September 27th, 1861. He had been at one time a Vice-President of the Paris Medical Society.

Resided at Shrewsbury, and died there in 1874.

Entered St George's Hospital as a perpetual pupil to Caesar Hawkins on Sept 30th, 1831. He was in practice at Winchester in 1845, after which he emigrated to Australia, and in 1881 was in practice at South Yarra, Melbourne. The date of his death is not known.

He was the youngest of eleven children, and was educated at Hereford Cathedral School, after which he was apprenticed to John Griffiths, surgeon, of Hereford. For a time he practised at 1 Montagu Street, Portman Square, London, where he was Surgeon in Ordinary to the Ottoman Embassy Resident in London. Practised later at 7 Boyne Terrace, Notting Hill, London, where he died on Feb 25th, 1891.
