Practised at Oldham, Lancashire, where he was Surgeon to the Blue Coat School, Certifying Factory Surgeon, and Surgeon to the Infirmary. After his retirement he died at Knutsford, Cheshire, on July 10th, 1887.

Educated at University College and Hospital; he practised at Almondbury, Yorkshire; at Cleckheaton, Leeds; at Blenheim Terrace, Dewsbury; and at 7 Summerseat Place, Bradford, where he died on Jan 17th, 1897. He was a Certifying Factory Surgeon.
