Studied at Guy's Hospital and at St Thomas's, and practised at 54 Newland, Lincoln, where he was Surgeon to the Lincoln County Hospital, to the Lunatic Asylum, and to the Dispensary. He died there on February 2nd, 1867.

Lived in Cheltenham, where his practice was extensive, and throughout his whole career he deservedly retained the respect and love of a very large circle.
