Joseph Hubert Fernando Jayasuriya qualified LMS in Ceylon in 1917. He took the Conjoint Diploma in 1926 and the Fellowship the following year. He was senior surgeon to the General Hospital in Colombo, Ceylon, and Chairman Emeritus of the Ceylon National Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis
