The second son of Charles Walter Wood, MRCS of Woodhouse Eaves, Loughborough, Leicestershire; studied at St Thomas's Hospital, where he was House Surgeon and Demonstrator of Anatomy. Studied at Guy's Hospital, and practised at Burnsfield, Durham, where he died on March 4th, 1886.

Educated at St George's Hospital. He practised first at Market Drayton, Shropshire, and then at 1 Berkeley Gardens, Kensington, where he died on January 6th, 1879. At the time of his death he was Surgeon to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Was a Surgeon in the Royal Navy and retired with the rank of Inspector-General of Hospitals and Fleets. His death occurred in 1898.
