Was at one time Surgeon to the Bath United Hospital. He died at his residence, 2 Circus, Bath, in the year 1860.

Practised in Cherry Street, Birmingham, and was Surgeon to the General Hospital. He died at Whiston, Shropshire, on March 13th, 1860.

Entered St George's Hospital as a twelve-months surgical pupil to Benjamin Brodie in September, 1823. He practised at 11 Bigg Market, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and died at Westoe after a long illness on December 6th, 1855.

Practised at Stafford, where he was Surgeon to the County Infirmary and Prison. He moved later to Barnstaple, where he died on November 22nd, 1880.

Studied at St Thomas's and Guy's Hospitals, and practised at St Mary's Gate, Derby, being also Surgeon to the Derbyshire General Infirmary. He died in 1869.

Was for fifteen years Resident Surgeon to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury, where he died in 1853, some time before February 23rd.

Studied at the Bristol, London, and Guy's Hospitals. He practised at 14 Lansdown Place, Clifton, Bristol, and died at Weston-super-Mare on December 20th, 1869.

Apparently practised in Marlborough Street, London, WC, for that address is given for the year 1840, but his address is omitted from the Fellow's *Register* and *Calendar*. His name appears last in the Fellow's *Calendar* for 1876, but no obituary or other notice of him has been traced.

Was Surgeon to the South Herts Yeomanry Cavalry. He died at Hatfield on April 21st, 1855.

Practised at Trinity House Lane, Hull, and was Surgeon to the Hull General Infirmary and to the Lying-in Charity. He was also Lecturer on Anatomy at the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire Medical School. Late in life he was living at Hessle, Yorkshire, where he died in or before 1860.

Was for nearly fourteen years Surgeon to the Salisbury General Infirmary, after which he practised as a surgeon at 12 Chester Street, Belgrave Square. In the fifties he removed to 2 Eaton Place. Was Surgeon to the Stafford County Infirmary, and died in retirement at 93 Kingsdown Parade, Bristol, on May 21st, 1861. Publications:- Hughes wrote books on the "Natural Diversities of Man" and on "Consumption".
