Born at Oundle, Northamptonshire, the son of John Mould, in medical practice, who died whilst his son was a child. He practised at Bitterne, Southampton, and was at one time President of the Southampton Medical Society and Vice-President of the Southern Branch of the British Medical Association. He was a Fellow of the Medical Society of London.

Practised at Ashbourne, Derbyshire, where he died on January 17th, 1882.
