Studied at Guy's Hospital and at the University of Edinburgh. He practised at Hurstpierpoint, Sussex, in the firm of Holman & Hanken, was Surgeon to the St John's College, Hurstpierpoint, and Medical Referee to various Assurance Offices. He died on August 9th, 1881
